With the cotton swab,apply a pea-sized amount of the mixture in a thin,even layer to a .5’’ x .5’’/2 cm x 2 cm area of the skininside the forearm. Leave the mixture on the skin for45 minutes. Do not cover or touch the area and avoidcontact with clothes. After 45 minutes, wash thetest area with water and pat dry with a clean tissue.Rinse off the test area immediately if you or theclient observe any changes to the skin’s normalappearance, such as itching, redness, or swelling onand around the test area during the testing time orthe following 48 hours. Do not use the product andinstruct the client to seek medical advice beforecoloring the hair. When carried out under theseconditions, the Allergy Alert Test represents an importantprecautionary measure that has provenreliable. Be aware that you may still experience anallergic reaction when coloring hair, even if you haveperformed an allergy alert test.
